Cheat Engine

So it's been a while since I've used my macbook (main laptop's in the shop). It seems I have an old 7.1 Alpha version of CE for mac, which works to an extent, but I noticed on the main CE page o' updates that
a) a stable 7.1 version was released for mac/windows, and
b) a 7.2 version was released.

I tried downloading the 7.2, and it quits immediately; I suspect this is due to my Macbook being late 2011, meaning High Sierra (10.13.6) is as good as the OS is going to get.

I've tried to find the stable 7.1 version download everywhere, but no luck. Is that version simply not available anymore (even as a legacy download) since 7.2 was released?

that was a 6.2 based mac version. That version was compiled for 32-bit, the 7.1 and 7.2 are 64-bit only

The problem is that apple revoked the cheat engine signature which blocks macs from executing it.
also kinda misplaced where i've put the files

but i googled a bit and found https://github.com/cheat-engine/cheat-engine/files/3910630/ce.64-bit.unsigned.extremely.unstable.zip

but not sure you can run that one (seems 64 bit)

(have you tried that sudo command method?)
