What are you guys saying about this topic? we're very close to level 5 cars...

Think about this, in the future you won't drive a car anymore... you won't have a choice but buy a L5 AV.

Mobileye is going to bring Robotaxis to a lot of places like IL, France, South Korea and China. (of course many more that will sign with them)

NIO, Waymo, nVidia, Uber, Tesla, Delphi, Qualcomm and more a big players here for this development of AV.

What is your opinion about this?

You'll want one until a hacker takes it over and kills a little girl with it but you go to jail.

The network these cars are connected to are isolated from the public civil internet we know, so unless a hacker gains access to this network i don't see anyone hacking one.

Do you honestly believe Toyota, Daimler, etc. will build a wireless network worldwide?
You are an idiot if you believe that.
No. These are all connected via public RANs and WANs.
The first thing you should do is rip out the antenna from the car.
That's your only insurance.

I'd still prefer to drive manually because I enjoy driving.

ive been thinking for a bit that you are actually daft as automatic is inherently a more enjoyable driving experience. and then i remembered this was about autonomous vehicles, not transmission auto/manual

Youre a fucking idiot and have probably never driven stick before, let alone go past 70 mph.

Anyone who knows anything about cars know that stick shifts give you more control and can be more fuel efficient.

Im sorry that you think not using your brain and giving up control makes for a better experience, but it's to be expected since you're a muslim

tbh, I like automatic because I don't know how to drive stick and like the ease of automatic shift.

Then you have never felt your car and enjoyed your engine roaring.
What a loss!
I'd suggest you borrow one and floor it in the second gear, see how it feels. (safely, away from people of course)

I would say definitely learn autonomous vehicles because they already exist, I personally know people who have supervised them and are working on them right now. Super safe too. I'd say give it 5-10 years max and we see them on the streets for regular civilian use

Mobileye are releasing Robotaxis WW in 2022, for private consumers in 2025.
