Hello,
For the past couple of days I've been trying to locate the entity list for a game called ZombsRoyale.
Finding a static pointer to the local player object was quite straightforward using multiple pointermaps. There are mulitple layers of pointers, so finding both hp, shield and xyz required manual search since they weren't near eachother in memory. They all share a common pointer a couple of layers up, so I'm quite certain that I've found the right object.
I can easily find a non-static pointer to an enemy, but after a game is over/the enemy is out of the FOW, the pointer will no longer work point to the right value.
I've been trying to reverse the pointers by looking at what accesses the said pointers, however there are simply too many pointers pointing at eachother for me to bruteforce my way trough it. From what I can tell the game has been written in Unity, but since the executable is not written in C#/.NET reverse engineering the code is more tricky than to just throw it into dotPeek.
I've found out that the heatlh address of all entites always has a constant offset, making the search a bit easier. I have a theory that there might be multiple static offsets like with the health, but I haven't been able to confirm this.
Is there any way that I can search for the closest common base address in CheatEngine to find the entity list, or what would be your thoughts on how to tackle this problem?
Cheers
