Cheat Engine

As the title says. I can load tables that other people have made and use them without any problems, but when I try to scan for a number, Cheat Engine stops responding immediately after its done compiling the list. I have to exit out of the program and restart it to get it work again. Anybody have any ideas?

pethaps your temp folder is invalid, full, or 'protected'

go to settings-scan settings and tick the option to specify a custom scanfolder. The select a folder that you know has space free and readwrite access

what kind of scan are you doing?
and does if happen on the tutorial as well?

try doing a scan for the value 0 with type set to binary in the tutorial
See if that ends up freezing CE

Are you using the 32 or 64 bit ce version?
And is this windows, mac or linux?

how much diskspace do you have free?
Perhaps there's not enough space to write the scanresults

also, it's possible your anti-virus is intercepting the writes and bugs out there
