Cheat Engine

I'm trying to get my strength to stay at a specified value after restarting the game.
The value does get changed, as the hits are very high when being in the session where I modified the value.
To find the value and modify it, I equipped items with varying strength bonuses and searched for the total strength.

Suggestions as to how I can get this to persist?

I don't know the game and I hope I didn't misunderstand your request but you could do it by doing a pointer scan of your strength address.
But if you have the address of life you can disassemble the data structure and explore it, you should find the value of your strength nearby

I'd highly appreciate being pointed to the appropriate tutorials for your suggestions. All I know to do in cheat engine is scan and modify values.
