I'm using ver. 6.7 and did a byte search on a selected group of addresses. The value I searched was 444. The result came back with one address with a value of 168. The parameters were
writable checked
executable greyed out
copyonwrite unchecked
fast scan checked or unchecked Same result.
A byte consists of 8 bits. Each bit can have 2 states. That gives 2^8 (256) unique states. Signed or unsigned, there is no way a single byte can store the integer 444. Use the 2-byte or 4-byte value types instead. _________________
I don't know where I'm going, but I'll figure it out when I get there.
