Gender is a social construct, so to say trans is a mental illness is simply incorrect.
It fits in with LGB because trans people are usually attracted to their own sex (without nessecarily feeling gay/lesbian because they don't feel like they're a man/woman) or to both sexes.
They can also be attracted to their opposite sex but then their partner would have to be the one attracted to their own gender (and/or own sex, should the trans partner perform or have performed a sex change operation).

You will never be a real woman. You can't change genders and indulging trannies in their delusions isnt the solution.

Oh yeah that's right, because most of them end up commiting suicide because the chemicals and logic in their head make it unbearable to live. Oh and because you can't change back after the first time.

Yeah and because they know a gaping, bleeding, pus spewing wound underneath where their dick used to be is not a vagina, and their sex hasn't really been changed. However, the onus is on the rest of society to indulge these sick people's delusions and refer to them as "she/her" even though deep down most people know they're just lying to be polite and don't actually accept them as that gender.
Remember, lobotomy was once a routine medical operation that now seems backwards and bizarre. Gender reassignment will be looked at similarly in time.

I saw a TERF make this argument the other day, not sure if I agree with it but it made me have to think
All trans women are misogynist because they are roleplaying a sexist stereotype role created by men and for men

TERFs are feminists with brains. And yeah, all trans women act like they think a woman would act like in their minds. Transgender people are mentally unwell and it's ridiculous we have to treat them as if their feelings are more valid than science. Oh you feel like a girl even though you're a boy? That's perfectly normal, and you know better than biology, so get your dick chopped off and start taking hormones. Strange how we dont indulge people with multiple personalities and we don't tell them all their personalities are real and valid, yet with trans people we do indulge their fantasies. A 40 percent suicide rate is very indicative of a group of people with a sound mind.

contrapoints argues against this frequently, so does riley dennis, its one of babbys first points against trans people.
basically, if they trans people were accepted into society they would NOT have to roleplay the stereotype. some of them only do it because its the only way to get accepted as a trans person. some trans people actually call others fake trans if they dont do this, or call them fake trans if they dont get genital reassignment surgery. the easiest way to get your gender correctly identified is to play this stereotype. many trans women are jealous of real women being able to go out without makeup and their hair done and just wearing tshirt and jeans and be able to be correctly gendered
many trans women do not do this though, so saying "all trans women are misogynist" is just wrong, unless you want to say that a trans woman is only a trans woman if they do this.
also youre dismissing lesbians. there are trans lesbians (riley dennis example) and are doing it for other women not for men.
