New account, long time user. As the title says, if we are unable to use [control+backspace] I am going to wear out my backspace key due to the fact that I am a walking bag of mistakes which tend to plop out all over the place and I need that easy undo button to clean up the mess. My favourite hotkey of all time... My precious...

Pressing this key combo just nets me a sensual little rectangle character reminding how futile existance is.

Is there a possible fix or a way around this?

PS. I used this combo roughly 15 times while writing this and control+arrows works as intended in CE.

Is CE blocking virtual keyboard input? I've attempted to remedy the grievance with an AHK script;

I have no idea what you're talking about. Ctrl+backspace functions just fine (assuming you mean the thing where it deletes the previous word instead of just the character)

as for AHK, you'll need to run it in admin mode

Thanks! Admin privileges for AHK fixed it for me. And yes, I am talking about the quick word deletion.

The key combo works fine in auto-assembly, but it just gives me a slim rectangle in the scan-for field and any popup window. I was unable to identify the character as its not in windows charmap under any encoding or character set. Also Google, DuckDuckGo, and Bing(ew) results turn up with zero results. Previewing in the post preview shows no character. I'm assuming it's a null character of some sort.
