So there's an address (05F9690C) that I change from 9 to 4 in order to toggle a special FX effect in game every time I start the game. I was wondering if I could modify the game executable and make it run in 4 by default. How'd I find something like an equivalent of the memory address in the game file or tell me if it may not even be possible.
Uhh, in my opinion there would be something in the exe or some dll of the game that the uses it to build the default value for the specified address. But still if it isn't in the exe then is there anyway to modify the game files to do this?
just from my experience in hex modding with like HxD whatever address you have in CE will likely not be the same in the exe or iso or whatever the file is in that case the best chance you have of finding it through a hex editor program is to search using a array of bytes if you know the bytes around the one you are looking for like lets say it is 09 02 03 01 05 or some random stuff if you know the exact bytes around it you can easily track it down again this is from my experience
