i dont follow jpop like i do kpop. its much harder to find downloads and subbed material for jpop. so akb48 in particular I dont follow too much yet, some of their songs are good some I dont care for.

example: my jpop folder, pic related, is only 23gb. my kpop folder is 776gb

groups i actually follow is e-girls and their subgroups, cherrsee, and the rest isnt really pop music, jpn rock music like shoegaze is really good, and groups like BiSH, Polkadot Stingray. the only physical jpop i own is cherrsee and sudannayuzuyully (and all of Twice's japan releases)
utada hikaru is forever jpop queen. and Mari Iijima deserves honorable mention for making jpop classics in the early 80's. and check out Yurufuwa Gang, really really good rap duo/couple.

and sad to see Namie Amuro retire.
