change your harddisk bios options (e.g don't tell it it's a windows OS, but Other OS instead)

who's still using windows 7
like i get it when windows 8 was around, the metro interface was shit and windows 7 wasnt really outdated yet. but with windows 10 around, going back all these years later to 7 you just run into so many compatibility and driver issues it's not worth it.

On Ableton and one of the plugins I was using, it is incompatible with the windows 10 operating system, meaning most of the old songs I have written are missing the instruments they were played on and I can't replicate it without windows 7 for some reason, the programming was never updated. Another reason why I want Windows 7 on a partition somewhere on my drive or separate SSD

im actually using win 8 still and idgaf. i barely use my pc for anything besides programming which i do in a linux vm or ssh to school server, and watching videos on youtube or mpc-hc. i dont even use a program to get normal start button back i just use the big ass buttons on the metro full screen start.

I don't like Windows 10 because it is ugly, animations are sluggish (when disabled it is still bad) UI is not intuitive and friend from office has said that sometimes after Windows updates itself (mandatory updates) his defaults apps are reset meaning edge is set as his default browser. Also he has said that apps install by themselves (apps such as candy crush).
I don't even need to dual boot anymore to play Dota and most of the games work on Linux. Direct9, Direct11 (soon DIrect12 will be in good enough shape) to Vulkan translation layer seems to be working nicely.
And ureal tournament (game that I'm playing) is no longer updated due to fortnite so I no longer have to re download whole game after every update on Linux (there is no epic launcher for Linux)
Its good to have Windows just in case u need something.
