|
|
Hello there I am able to find values however when the value changes (obviously being written to) the 'find out what writes to this.." wont show anything, tried VEH debugger and kernel mode, using windows 10, any tips ?
Edit :
It's the data breakpoints that don't seem to trigger, are these softwaare breakpoints and could this be the reason ? any work around ?

have you tried the option to override existing breakpoints?
or page exception breakpoints?

I have tried neither, i will do it in couple minutes.
I can say i tried to breakpoint with xdbg64 (it's a 64 bit process) and neither hardware nor software data breakpoints worked.
I will now try your two options and get back to you, thanks !
Edit: it doesn't work, I don't think it's a protection though, I don't see why a random game from an android emu would be protected from windows Cheat engine

ah it's an android emulator
can you run it when you disable virtualization in your bios? If not then it's using kernelmode to run it and the paging system won't work as it normally would

"MEmu App Player will have better performance if hardware virtualization (aka Intel-VT or AMD-V) is enabled on your computer. Most of mainstream Intel and AMD CPUs support this feature. "
It uses it but seemingly can work without, I work tomorrow and sunday so I will try what you said on monday, does that mean I must disable virtualization in order to get data BPs working ?
Would those BPs work straight away if i used bluestack ?

Could you install the CE server for android in it and use it that way?

best use ceserver inside android (root it) because when you do get debugging to work (might still not work if it's kernelmode) you will only get the emulator code and not the actual code.

I ve been looking into ceserver and have just a few questions, is there some kind of doc where everything is reunited ? I have to browse forums to get glimps of information about arm, x86 etc.
Am i right in assuming with android emulator I would be using ceserver x86, would I then be able to edit the same instructions as on windows (mov eax,ecx and so on) ? becaue learning a new set of instructions .. I'm not sure yet. Also would have to learn terminal, su root etc..

if your android device is based on x86 then you shouldn't need to learn a new instruction set.
