So basically ive been doing a side project with resident evil 7 on pc. Ive been trying to figure out what these files are in the pak files in the main RE7 folder and how to read them. They consist of letters and numbers. But idk what they are. They could simply be weapons or enemies or background. Ill include a pic so you can see what I mean. How do I read these files? On a hunch I tried HxD Hex Editor and it can read these files. Its weird, Its alot of meshes and backgrounds for the house and old house and knife and pistol meshes. I havent read most of them maybe just 5 or 6 of them. Some make sense and then there are files that are just 50,000 lines of nonsense.

File extraction and modification sites exist for these kinds of questions such as:

You'll get better help there than here, not too many people focus on file modifications on this site.
