Yes I know, I know. This is a metroidvania game bla bla bla... but some rooms are insanely difficult for me (those vasps spiting litle vaspies) so I'd love to stop them from respawning.
I don't know where to start to solve this problem. What value to search.
There is a trigger which respawns enemies after leaving and reentering a room.
how to find a value which does this?
There's almost certainly not a "value" that does that (unless there was some dev/debug boolean). Somewhere in memory would be all the data that describes the room, if it's procedurally generated that won't exist until you enter the room, and with it would include the entity /enemy types and positions and every time you enter the room a function would be called to recreate it and that'd include the enemies. Unless it's a mono game or otherwise has symbols to make it easy to locate that function and find which entities correspond to the enemies, it may be quite difficult to track that down.
If it's one of the games where you can see multiple rooms on the screen at one time rather than a single room taking up the entire screen you may have a separate function to spawn enemies but there's still not likely to be a single value
if you tracked down the enemy list then possibly you could set the size to 0 to prevent spawning... _________________
Ret that function and you will just pass through enemies without taking damage. It's a unity game so you can find enemy spawn function easily, this should help as well though. _________________
