|
|
Hey, I'm having a trouble with this.
Actually I have more than 10 pointers for a game, but every update I'm screwed because even the pointers change, some of the pointers are very hard and toke a lot of time finding them
I think I'm doing something bad with the option of recalcultate new addresses, every way I try to do this, doesn't work.
What I'm doing:
I have the cheat table with my old deprecated pointers, and search for a new one working, select all of them and click recalculate, tab change to address then I input the new address i've found.
What am I missing?

recalculate is for small blocks of related addresses that get relocated
what you need to do is find the address you can easily find, then once found select it in the addresslist on the right.
Then, select the addresses that belong to the same group, and make sure that the address you just found is the last selected one (it should have a darker blue color)
then do recalculate and click ok. (the default will be filled in based on the selected addresses on the top left and the main selected one on the bottom)
again, this only works on related addresses. E.g health and armor might be near eachother and relocate at the same distance (same structure)

You havn't selected an address in the addresslist on the left.
Also, it doesn't work with pointers. If you use pointers properly, you do not need to recalculate

properly? even if it's an mmo I won't need to recalculate?
I thought I were getting my pointers good, I usually do pointer scan and my addresses are usually the last in the pointer scan, I mean I followed few tutorials on how to do it.
There is another way ?

try to do better pointer scanning, or use a script to get the address. (by either registersymbol or globalalloc)

excuse my ignorance, but what do you mean with better pointer scanning?
The way I do is the following:
Find my address > pointer scan for this address > restart game and search for the new address/value on the pointer scan > repeat the process till I have only a few addresses on pointer results.
I guess that way is bad?
the registersymbol part I find it kinda messy, what about if they are multiple occurences?

pointer scanner result may vary on pointer scanning options.

Options like:
● Maximum Offset Value - This is the maximum value that a single offset of the pointer can have. The higher, the more pointers you are gonna have, and you will be doing slower pointer scans obviously. In modern games you could try with a value of maximum 8k (8000) i think.
● Max Level - This refers to the depth of the pointer. Same as above, this could be up to 15 (very very hard pointers).
● Max different offsets per node - You may want this unticked if you are not getting any valid pointer.
● Pointers must end with specific offsets - You should use this option, this narrows down the ending scan by A LOT of results. This ensures that the last offset of each pointer corresponds with the one specified in the text field.
Also keep in mind: even pointers could change (like if a game gets patched), therefore it is good practice to keep the pointer scans files.
