|
|
Hey!
First, please excuse my terminology, I am not well versed in this yet.
Objective:
Ideally what I am trying to do is use my static addresses with my '"Process ID" + "Hex Value"', so I can essentially convert that to decimal to use in my C# application.
Issue:
When I attempt to "Pointer map" anything, I cannot find anything with the syntax that I want ("Proc.exe"+"Hex"). Even though I have done it before and I've come up with exactly what I need for other variables. As a visual representation I have attached two files showing what I am attempting to get versus what I am stuck with.
As I am still only 5-6 days into really digging this deep into Cheat Engine's functionality, I am obviously not very well versed in it. I have checked for a solution online, and nothing. If someone has a solution or suggestion, I am very much for it. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply.
I had searched around for pointer tutorials and videos just to see, but I had found nothing pertaining to my specific application of static addresses and pointers. I will take a look at some of these before I post again, and if it solves my issue I will reply to this as well. Thanks again TheyCallMeTim13.

Just understand that the game your working on my not have any 1 level pointers. They may only by 5 and up , or 10 and up.
i.e.:
Code: | [[[[Game.exe+123]+ABC]+456]+DEF]+789 |

So I think my question really is this. I've got values that I'm attempting to update for a newer version of the game. I have the old and new version of the game, and the correct syntax (proc.exe+0000000). I've been comparing the values of the old version of the game and I've run into the issue with obviously trying to find the syntax for the new variant of it. I'm trying to figure out how to word obstruction. I've attached a screenshot from my tablet to my computer (since I'm away from the computer). The 7FF71772AAC links with the "mk10.exe+0123a3ac", I'm not understanding where that link comes from when I can't point scan my new value, which is still a 7FF* static address. I don't know if I'm missing something while trying to navigate cheat engine, or what. But I will continue to look into it when I get home. (The C# application was a program from someone else, not mine). Sorry about the giant essay, you don't have to continue help, I'm just adding to this as I'm still away.

Check Memory View form -> View -> Show Module addresses.
But with the update the game may not be module based. And those are all single level, which I haven't seen in a game for a long time.

That worked exactly the way I was hoping, thanks again for all the help. It was just some simple help with navigating CE.
