hey fellow cheatengine members
its been ages since i posted anything
I am the guy who knows how to get values and some basic stuff
so I tried to cheat on an old game named space rangers 2 reboot
all of the values are encrypted and I don't know what kind of encryption the game uses, I got some values from changed/unchanged search then tried to see what writes to it and found some codes that are being written to by a lot more than the coins code alone so I got confused and couldn't do anything
The game slapped me on the face and mocked me saying noob get the hell out of here you are so far away from being able to cheat here
So I want some advice what should I learn to up my cheating levels to medium or advanced, if you would point me towards some articles
or books or anything to learn from, that would be appreciated.
I am still beginner like you .. but you can use ultimap to find codes of the game instead of values ...
try to convert values to 4 bytes , or float , string .... to see if its the same with the game .
It doesn't matter if the values are the same ... you can check if that address holding the value make changes to the game or not ...
then try find what instructions access to this address .
to improve your self learn:
-read and apply from cheatengine wiki
http://wiki.cheatengine.org/index.php?title=Main_Page learn
- Assembly language & reverse engineering & C++
- learn what are Functions .. and how to use the game Functions in your scripts .
I spend 2 years in game hacking without learning assembly or c++ and that's was stupid
. If we learned first we could hack games easier .
I had small knowledge about assembly . but now I am about to finish Introduction course . and that's helped me so much .
I Will start to learn assembly as soon as possible
as for c++ I am already in the process of learning Java, I guess Java will not help me to hack games but I can't learn them both at the same time
I watch some of Cheat the game's videos on youtube and when i try to apply the things he teaches I fail, maybe coz I don't know assembly or reverse engineering.
lol if C# and Python can do it (perhaps with a C/C++ dll) then Java should be able to do it as well Of course, that doesn't mean it's well suited to it but. _________________
