The game in question is Zelda Breath of the Wild for CEMU (Wii-U Emulator). I'm looking for the function for weapon health (how many times you can swing a weapon before it breaks). I've found the function and can nop it, it works, but it also makes enemies invincible. Is it possible to somehow isolate the piece of the function that affects the weapon only?
As I side note, I can mod this so it always writes 0 and kills every enemy as soon as you turn it on. Works. You can also take down trees with 1 swing. lol

Find similarities that only occur when the weapon health value is being passed through. See if there are any values around yours that are always the same, see if any register or pointers are the same for the weapon but different for other things. Look at the stack and see if you can use anything there, ie. see if any call return pointers only show up for weapon health.
