like i said i find what writes to the address replace it with the code that does nothing but when i enter the game and build something the whole game crashes back to the desktop?
any suggestions on how to fix it?

maybe you should post the piece of code you are replacing. If its something storing a value and pop a value from the stack in the same step and you NOP this instruction you will garble the stack and very lickely crash the game.
