I'm not an expert at making trainers with Lua(I only make with AA). I wanted to ask anyone who can make a tutorial on how to make trainers with lua because Rydian's tutorial didn't work out for me

You should start by learning the Lua programming language, there's a book named "Programming in Lua" (there are 3 editions), you'll also find many good tutorials on the lua-users wiki.

If you are already good with Lua, then you'll find trainer making to be very easy, you'll be able to do object-oriented programming, because all the objects (forms, edit boxes, labels etc.) have their metatable with many metamethods, which defines their behaviour, you just call methods and set properties.

But seriously, Lua is an awesome programming language, definitely worth learning (it's easy)/using.

Along with what Redouane has said,
You should always use and check main.lua file (inside cheat engine installation folder), as it explains about all the cheat engine exposed functions.
If you're new with lua, making a trainer might be hard at first, but later it becomes easier as you learn and understand the logic behind it.
Anyhow in my signature you could easily generate a trainer, and just learn from the source.
