I'm not going to lie, I've always been envious of people who can play instruments. I've had a guitar for a while, but only ever learned to string out zelda songs and never learned chords and that. Finally decided to try to teach myself "the real deal". Any musically inclined people here? Whatcha play?

Learning the Piano to develop my instrumental ability. Getting a new keyboard this week with mod knobs and stuff. What instrument are you going to learn? I like piano because of its many uses in DAWs and stuff I think its a good foundation.

Nice, I own a keyboard myself, but haven't gotten around to playing it, though I did take a semester of piano in college, so Im not completely a rookie, but I'm well out of practice.

I'm learning the acoustic guitar at the moment. I prefer the feel and sound of electric more, but I can't afford it and I got this guitar for free, so decided to learn that. Plus I've heard that learning acoustic and going to electric is way easier than the other way around.

I play so many instruments. I have a big drumset, electric guitar, bass, and a keyboard in my room just for messing around. I played all sorts of percussion, saxophone, and violin in highschool but I don't own those anymore. If You want me to teach you some music theory and composition stuff I can help

Bought a piano a few years ago and tried to learn playing it by myself. It was a very cheap one, so you have to press the keys hard for it to actually create sound. I gave up after a few weeks and sold it to a friend.
