at hospitals it is different. main exits and entrances are not watched or locked 24/7. last time i was in a similar predicament and taken from mental hospital to hospital for a physical evaluation, i was still under 24 hour surveillance. i waited for an opening and then ran in socks 5 miles. they were sending police cars, ambulances, and fire trucks after me. as well as several people on foot chasing me.
it was the middle of the night so wtf was i gonna do. i had no phone & no one was around so icouldn't blend into a crowd, or borrow someone's phone for to get a ride.
my state has laws that make it very easy to be detained without trial.
after a few weeks then you are given trial. by then they can use your mental hospital stay & workers as witnesses for the psychiatrist to commit you indefinitely. and being so heavily medicated during trial doesn't help your appearance, either. |
Fuck what kind of shitty third world country are you in where they force you to take drugs and still deem you competent to stand in trial
You must have done something really shitty for them to have sent firetrucks after you, should have sued
Keep a notepad in your pocket with a prewritten petition for habeas corpus in it, then when you're detained, ask them you want access to your notepad to petition this detention, they legally have to let you, then sign it and date it and give it to them.
