Seeing as I "can't read", help me shed some light on this. You claim that you are on welfare and are getting between 800-1400 a month, and at the same time you're also saying that you "average 5k a week by doing nothing." So, which is it? Do you not actually average 5k a week? Were you lying? You also said you're not selling drugs, so where's that magic money of yours coming from?

Wow, use sentences like "my choice of words is completely on thin air", then harp on me about the semantics between "averaging" and "making". If you "average" 5k a week, then it sounds like you're saying that you typically make 5k a week. Maybe some weeks you make less, maybe some weeks you make more, but you average 5k, yeah?

actually, the sentence u quoted /was/ the harping on about the semantics. they weren't separate. not surprised u failed at reading that tho. the point was that there was an obvious reason as to why i said average, not make.

How about you learn to understand context. What I was saying was that I was surprised that someone who uses such poor diction as to say "is completely on thin air" would attempt to chastise me for "misunderstanding" what you mean when you say you "average 5K a week". So since it's so obvious to you what you mean when you say you average that much but you're telling me you don't make that much and that I'm stupid to think so, how about you clue a simpleton like me into what you mean?

Talix, you are missing the point of a job completely. You immediately assume that a job has to be shit, and pay shit. If I were to win 10 million tomorrow, I'd still do what I'm doing now, which is build software. I'd just do my own projects, instead of doing projects for a company. That being said, I make a decent living and even got headhunted a few weeks back by another company because I am good at what I'm doing. Having my second interview tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to it. That said I understand the appeal of doing your own thing and getting paid for it by the government. But at the same time I would suspect you'd miss a certain drive to excel. There isn't really anyone around to challenge or motivate you to do more or better.

he honestly believes that the problem is not that he has zero cash and no job (and soon no place to live), but that i haven't given him back the $133 he sent to me over paypal 4 or 5 years ago.

To be honest that would be a problem for me. If I loan you money, I'm going to need you to pay me back when you can. When I say "when you can", I mean it should be a top priority. So not buying luxury items while still not having paid me back the money.

In any other case you would have returned the borrowed items in question, unless you are a ungrateful. For example:

#1 Oh man it's raining outside but I don't have an umbrella.
#2 You can borrow my umbrella.
#3 Thanks man.
