Hello this is my first time trying cheat engine so please simplify things for me. I'm playing dragon age 2 and I want to get all my mage ability points early in the game. I tried doing it myself by watching a you tube version of how to do it but when ever I do my first scan it makes a ding sound and nothing happens. Sometimes it reads scan error controller cleanup. Any other scan makes the same sound. I'm using cheat engine 6.4 and the one on you tube is 6.0 maybe that's why it does not work. A step by step walkthrough of how to hack my ability and attributes will be very helpful.

If this is your first time using CE, you should go through the CE tutorial first (under the "help" menu of CE). It has instructions on what you're suppose to do in the tutorial, but if it doesn't spell it out clearly enough, this topic can help you.
