yea tixati is safest and is definitely botnet free
i usually recommend qbittorrent, but personally use transmission-qt, I like the way it looks and its super simple and lightweight (both open source)

its not about the speed lel
i used to use utorrent
but i wanted to have automatically assigned locations for specific stuff to be downloaded and upload speeds for specific torrent trackers and shit like that
deluge plugins let you do that

tixati is closed source, no guarantee
deluge/tixati and transmission-daemon
don't see the point of arguing torrent clients lol
