if you understood what i recommended (by checking out the application, or perhaps reading my post where i said, "modify access privileges"), you would understand that it is an internet defense and security package, in addition to a firewall.

SO PLEASE, tell me how /BLOCKING UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS/ from a malicious application is NOT what he wanted to do?
besides, don't firewalls also MANAGE & SECURE CONNECTIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS, PREVENTING INVASIONS ETC.??
comodo isn't just a generic firewall. it is much more. you would know that if you researched instead of just flaming me, wtaf.

clearly not just a personal firewall. it has plenty of uses and could have helped OP with clearing his problem, AND pinpointing what was responsible.
