[quote="GannoK"
I know enough about life and how it works that I should be actively using my brain so I can stay away from a dumbass life, one much like yours.
You were in college once, you dropped out to pursue drugs instead of making the BLATANTLY OBVIOUS CHOICE of making something good of yourself.
You can spin that narrative of, "I wouldn't expect you to understand since you're not an addict," all you want. it doesn't make you any less of an idiot and a piece of shit in the public eye of anyone worth a fucking damn. How long have you been saying that now?
And before I even had a chance to say anything, don't even get me started on the long list of (convicted/nonconvicted) crimes you have admitted to on here, including but not limited to; Pedophilia, physical threats, robbery, drug trafficking/selling (I am sure you have TONS more of committed crimes, and I am willing to bet a lot of these infractions were on minors). Do you really want to get into who's embarrassing themselves and who's ignorant? You fail to even cope with the most minimal standards of life, consistently finding yourself either A) In jail B) on the streets or C) living with your parents/sober home.
Look, if you're trying to air someone's dirty laundry, you better make sure your laundry isn't dirtier[/quote]you have no idea how fucking retarded you sound
like any of you got any life experience

So, I've just been a spectator this whole time, but holy shit Gannok, why are you so against him?
It's like telling a depressed kid that the cure to depression is to not have been depressed in the fucking beginning. Well gee, if only if I had thought of that sooner.
Look, we're all humans and we all make mistakes (albeit some more than others). He fucked up and got into drugs, and addiction is a real thing. Now, he's trying to stop. However, similarly to how a depressed kid stops trying to be depressed, it's easier said than done.
You can act all high and mighty saying you did the smart choice of not going into drugs, but with that sort of arrogant mentality, I don't think you know enough about life. Hell, I don't do drugs, but I completely support The Indian Guy, and completely get his position. Yeah, he did fuck up starting drugs but at least he's attempting to fix it.

besides going through my own phase of depression, I've had a family member commit suicide from depression, and my family history is full of people who are/were addicts and alcoholics. I am aware of what addicts are like personally. In my anecdotal experience, they just always got worse or relapsed frequently no matter how much you try to support them.

I was pretty inbetween I feel, up until he got defensive with me and told me I needed to educate myself.

I was smart enough to not use it in the first place. Do I need to be educated about the risk of addiction? Yes. I was. And I listened. Do I need to be educated about the experience of addiction? No. It's a non-issue. Like I said before; baseball bat. I don't need to hear about how you are recovering from bashing your head in. All I'm thinking is "Why would you even in the first place?". That doesn't mean I don't want you to succeed in recovery.

The answer to that is that some people have more painful lives than others and in the most painful of times, they need instant relief. Enter the drugs. Strength of mind is another factor too.

people only see what they want to see, imo the best thing you can do is leave him be and stop wasting your time
gratz on your progress, even if you fall back into drugs you can still see that you're learning and working on your self
just picture how fucking retarded everyone is going to look like once you control this

its like russian roulette. the same applies to taking that first drink of alcohol. you are playing russian roulette with your life. are you trying to tell me you knew that by taking that first beer there was a possibility youd become an alcoholic and drink all day every day, destroy your life and did it anyway? woah dude sounds exactly like me! you took that drink regardless thinking that wouldnt happen to you. i thought you were smarter than that!
so why would fyou ever take that first drink in the first place if you supposedly know the risks of alcoholism and are so smart? protip: alcohol and drugs are the ssme. it doesnt matter the substance. for some people alcohol is addictive to them as heroin to me or crack a crackhead. | Theres an old saying. Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you because you went full retard.

Comparing alcohol to heroin, are you fucking kidding me right now? You are taking some serious leaps there man. And if there was a known alcohol problem in my family, you bet your ass I wouldn't be drinking.

| heroin is healthier than alcohol. ODing is the only thing thats dangerous, and it usually happens after a relapse

First time I ever heard that heroin is healthier than alcohol. Seriously? I'd love to hear the rationale.

I bothered to look at pages 4 and 5 from your posts and it appears that you're the type to have a non addictive mind. Fair enough. I don't really see where heroin can be healthier than alcohol though, if you're talking physically. Mentally, well I guess that could be another thing assuming you're not doing it long term.

| Thanks for the explanation Indian guy, that clears things up. Yeah, it is for sure that alcohol does a lot more harm to society as a whole.
