Hey all, as soon as I'm logged in, if I check ram usage, it's at 4+ gb. Any way to lower this? I disable a bunch of services and startup in msconfig, but I don't know why it would be so high.
What can I do to decrease this? With firefox open and flash I get to 7gb before I know it and it gets pretty annoying.
Are you having a lot of hard faults / page hits? It may be that the amount of RAM Windows uses always expands to the amount available. I would launch the resource monitor and keep an eye on the Hard Faults/sec column while launching some memory intensive programs (games, video editors, whatever) to see if the there's really an issue. _________________
