I just got around to watching it, it's a really touching story and best of all I now have a direction to point people in when they ask me why I haven't "just made a game yet".
Now I can't wait for Free to Play to come out, looking forward to seeing dendi dance :3

Haven't you not made a game because you are lacking the technical skill and knowledge?

No, I can make a platformer or rhythm or things like that, I just don't have the sheer amount of time and resources to devote to a game that's worth playing in the end.
If I put in a few hours a day for a week or two and account for procrastination, I could make an average quality flash game that would entertain a few thousand people for a few minutes each and maybe make overall a couple hundred dollars in revenue over the course of a year or two, which in my opinion is not worth it when I can be making $30/hr instead.
Plus there's no joy in making a shitty product, I probably wouldn't even want my name on it.
To properly develop a short but polished indie game that really expresses a quality or feeling that I want to convey through fluid gameplay and with appealing graphics would take myself probably 1000 man hours or more, so alone that's... 1000 hours.
After that I have to deal with publication, marketing and sales, as well as finances and taxes and basically babysit the completed project until nobody is interested anymore.
I still have to work part time and go to college full time during all of this.
