What is the runtime offloading and is that easier? I can't use mkisofs to make it a bootable iso because I'm on Windows and I don't understand what you mean by raw-write. Google and Bing haven't been able to help me. How would I burn a .img to a CD and make it bootable?

In cheat engine rightclick the ce logo on the top right and click "your system supports dbvm"
If you answer yes and the system doesn't completly crash, then it's running

@DB,

CE v6.2 gives me this message: Your system DOES NOT support DBVM.
But, CE6.3: Your system supports DBVM
misleading.

My CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5600+
OSes: WinXP32bit+all updates    and    Win7 64bit+all updates

DBVM in 6.3 might support your system yes. It has AMD support since 6.3
Of course, it still depends on luck if your mainboard and cpu combination will work.
(also, don't use avast)

Also always unload the driver if you used 6.2 before. 6.3 has a newer version of the driver but the same name (and i think I forgot to change the version number)

What happens when you try to enable it? Just a full freeze? A bsod saying that a timer timed out, or a bsod about an exception in kernelmode ?

Also, check in the bios that SVM (or AMD-V) is not disabled

Right now it has only been tested on this:
Windows 8 64-bit
AMD FX-4100 Quad-Core (3.60 GHz)
4GB ram
Chipset AMD 760G (Not sure what kind of mobo, I haven't touched it after getting it to work)

Uninstalled Avast on both OSes (winxp and win7)

WinXP = instant reboot without BSOD (I enabled option which doesn't allow reboot when BSOD)

Win7

Win7, while attaching debugger to calc.exe process:

Service is running:
Code:
>net start CEDRIVER60
Żądana usługa została już uruchomiona.

The requested service has already been started

I don't have SVM and AMD-V in the BIOS. My MoBo and CPU are old - like 7 years old.

Launch it using the about screen. Sometimes the debugger might run to soon
But yeah, it's possible your system is too old and for some reason amd changed the feature support cpuid flag over time, or it's the very first revision of svm which i may not support

(Did you reboot after removing avast? Their virtual machine might still be running)

About antivirus. I uninstalled it, reboot, nothing left from Avast. (I searched for ASW*.* files - aswSnx.sys and others)

CPUZ info

CPU have AMD-V, but MoBo doesn't have that option in BIOS.

The driver not loading problem might be an installation problem. Perhaps the .sys got repaired after being overwritten by the installer, or something deleted it, or it's being redirected to an old file

Just check kernelmode open process and restart ce. If that message shows, it's a problem with the driver/install and not dbvm related (run dbgview, the driver outputs some data when ce loads and opens it)

checked "kernelmode open process",

above window shows up

DbgView:
[4084] Offset of LBR_Count=760
[4084] sizeof fxstate = 512
[4084] Symbolhandler: sync: Calling finishedloadingsymbols
[4084] finishedLoadingSymbols called
[4084] LoadDBK32
[4084] b
[4084] b1
[4084] configure_vmx

"Driver couldn't be opened ....", I click "OK", then:

[4084] vmx_enabled=FALSE

Those:
C:\Program Files\Cheat Engine 6.3\dbk32.sys
C:\Program Files\Cheat Engine 6.3\dbk64.sys

Aren't damaged.

try resetting cheat engine's settings (run ceregreset.exe) and also reset kernel debugger settings (run Kernelmoduleunloader.exe), close cheat engine, run the 2 programs (in CE's folder), then restart and re-enable the driver from the about menu

I didn't mentioned about ceregreset and Kernelmoduleunloader, because it's obvious for me.

One other reason the driver fails is if you use a custom build cheatengine-xxx.exe . The released driver is set refuse functioning if the .sig file doesn't match the .exe . But this shouldn't affect a proper install.

So, even launching win7 with "allow unsigned drivers" option doesn't prevent this? Too bad.

Can your driver allow unsigned cheatengine-xxx.exe while "allow unsigned drivers win7"?
