everybody involved in the prison industry is paid an amazingly high amount, why do you think america's so intent on keeping it strong
when you're trying to keep half a nation locked up like animals basically for living their lives (yes i know real laws are exempt from this opinion but america's stupid/unnecessary laws HEAVILY outweigh those) you definitely want the reward to be worth the risk

nah dude no one in america gives a shit and gives prison workers poor wages so they get mad at prisoners more often and shit
the risk probably doesnt come close to the reward but they take the jobs because its in need and its better than being unemployed, they also feel good about having the job that they get to go in there and be the good guys and discipline the bad guys, fits pretty well into american culture
and the killin dudes probably dont get paid shit, executions arent often enough
need better forms of population control yo

We could put prisoners into a sealed off city, like in Escape from New York. Would be pretty cool.

I feel like most murderers and bigtime crime people legitimately have something wrong with their brain. Something that wouldn't normally be solved by raising them differently as a child.
Which is also why it bothers me that people are allowed to plead insanity, considering the fact that you'd have to be insane to purposely take the life of someone anyway...
