Blender is free and pretty good but I'm certified by autodesk on 3DsMax and I tried to get in blender but I'm way too familiarized with 3DsMax that I can't move on.
The 3600$ license is worth it and if I ever need to do commercial work with 3DsMax I would see it as an investment that can be paid in a couple of months.
so far I make 3D without license but only non commercial works.

most of people here already knows but I'm going for game development. full carrier, I study systems engineering in university and graduated from a 3D art school. I created the games development club at my university and give classes there to get people interested in game development in my country. This gives me contacts and lots of opportunities which help me to achieve my goal that is making a games company.

BS didn't get in the top 3
first place didn't have textures and lacked detail
second place should have been first place even though it didn't have as much detail, it had a couple more things than mine.
third place was not even from the EV3 mindstorm series..
