I liked the Ghost Recon Online game, which seemed a lot like Future Soldier. Ghost Recon Online is free though, so didn't really see much of a reason to buy Future Soldier (considering I only like those games for the multiplayer anyway).

To be fair, CoD used to be pretty awesome until they started rehashing the same shit and getting an increasingly shitty community.
Also no, CoD is not the definition of a good FPS game. I think the definition of a good FPS game would be the games that have always been good, such as Quake and Unreal Tournament.
Realism in video games tends to end up pretty shit.

I agree to some extent I do enjoy both extremes and what I meant by realism is not necessarily "life like" but rather they don't have that realistic feel its kinda hard to describe only way I can think of is restrictions such as movement and flow of the game as in real life like yhe ability to have complete control
