| Do not get plasma screens. If you leave a still image on it for too long it will become burned into the screen. Go for an LCD.

It is indeed plasma. I've learned from experience that when these things are shipped, they are never shipped correctly and are usually shipped standing up which causes the plasma to shift to one side and permanently damages the TV.
I would recommend LCD or LED as an alternative.

I have a 52 plasma zennith hd tv ive had for 4 yrs only cost $500 nothin "burnt" onto the screen my bro left a static image on it for 6 hrs once the image was burned on but after 1 min of viewing regular hd shows it was gone
