Sorry about this but I searched on this site and I don't manage to find anything simple enough, just super high level tutorials.
I need to find a string(text) with Cheat Engine inside a game.
Until now I am able to find integers with [first pass] and [second pass]. This is all I know

If you mean you can find integerers using memscan_firstScan and memscan_nextScan then it's pretty much the same for strings, but then replace vtDword with vtString

I have [Elven water] [with remaining gulps: 0]. Initially was 3 gulps. I want to restore back to 3.
I did searched for [0] integer(vt4 Bytes) with memscan_firstScan and memscan_nextScan but it finds 81,554,227 results, and for each memscan_nextScan I give, it decrement only with ~100,000 which is crazy.

I did searched for "elven", gulp" and it Finds=35 of each text using vtString. Nothing I can change from these results.

In memory viewer- View- All strings- checked: Strings must match reg exp- I put for search the string "gulp"- Click button: generate string map- Show list. In the list I found multiple instances of this text that appear in game also:
078740F4 ^?^The vial with elven river water.<br>[sys]Use: [d]recovers Rage to maximum<br>[sys]Remaining gulps: [d][use]
I changed every this instances from ....Remaining gulps: [d][use] into Remaining gulps:3[d][use]
It did not work, but in game appeared: Remaining gulps:30 -the 0 is the actual value that is important and the 3 is just a string-char. The ingame "Use" option is not working either.

Make sure you also scan copy on write memory

Also, before you start making scripts etc... Always make sure that what you're doing actually works.

Replacing strings in a game to give you more attributes will never work (it's visual only)
