|
Like many other members here, I sit at a desk for most of the day and don't exercise as much as I wish I did. My metabolism isn't the greatest either. I've been doing three things to maintain my weight, neither of which are difficult.
Firstly, before breakfast, lunch, and dinner, drink 1.5L/6 cups of water. You feel full before eating, but not to the extent where you feel like throwing up if any more food/liquid enters your stomach. Additionally, the food you eat will expand thanks to the water sitting in your stomach. This will make you feel full for a longer time, and you won't have cravings for snacks later on.
Don't substitute water for millk/juice/pop/others liquids. Sure you'll have to pee a lot, but with everything constantly being flushed out of your system, you'll feel great.
Secondly, go out and buy a bag of carrots. Wash them all, peel them all, and put them on a plate. The plate will go into your fridge and the carrots will last for a week. This will be your only snack. They taste great, have almost no impact on your weight, and are healthy.
Thirdly, stop buying junk food. This is mandatory if you are serious about losing weight. I don't buy junk food, but my parents do. When I enter the kitchen, I can't help but notice the bags of chips and various candies lined up along the counter. As much as I want to just pretend they aren't there, I can't, my will power is non-existent. However, if they weren't there/in my sight, I wouldn't even be thinking about them. This made me realize, I only eat it because it's there. I simply tell my parents to skip the junk food when buying groceries, and my cravings for it never come up.
Personal techniques while studying. |

While I was studying, no. I see what you mean though, by not eating a lot, working out would be difficult. Point is to not overeat though, and not eat junk food. |

I... I don't think I could drink more than 0.5l in one sitting and even then I'd be feeling pretty bad unless I had just done something very physically exerting and I was thirsty.
What the fuck is wrong with you?
Why can't people just not eat without taking some kind of measures against it? _________________

Actually it is smart, maybe not 1 and a half liters, but like around two cups or a bottle of water because when I first started jogging in march I'd comeback from the trail and I'd be drenched in sweat, and if I didn't drink a bottle of water, I would have been dehydrated. _________________

No by that point in time you'd actually already be dehydrated. As soon as you are thirsty you've already been dehydrated for a while. The best would be to drink a bit every once in a while even if you're not thirsty. That way it would be easier to stay hydrated. _________________

A bottle is 0.5l. He's advising you drink 3 bottles in one sitting |
