... why are you responding with questions to my question? I do not know if Sterling made half of the design, nor do I know if you made half the code or the other half of the design. I do feel I should press on the fact that making the views of an application does not count as coding, nor designing. Much like doodling in coloring books does not make four year olds artists. |
I wasn't asking questions, I was estimating how much of the work each of us will be doing.
I'm roughly guessing that Sterling and I will be splitting the design work in half.
Also I don't know what you mean by "making the views of an application". |
Was referring to the most commonly used design pattern, pretty much the first one you should know as a developer. Not using a design pattern will make any code script-kiddy quality. |
Ok, it sounded like you were implying that I was getting it "views" or "hits".
And no, I'm not doing the design pattern.

I'm putting my money on Q, as I'm pretty sure he will.

| Reserving all judgment until I know a bit more about what they're making (it will eventually be marketed I'm guessing). But unless it's a single-view application, I'd advise to add some structure to it. Most IDEs tend to create new projects with the MVC structure by default.

This is why I actually like you as opposed to Mike. This is a small project that I was unable to complete on my own so I outsourced and hired Holland to do the work for me.

This is sort of a different situation than what you'd expect, probably, considering many things that I'd rather not openly discuss as of yet, but feel free to msn me or whatnot if you're interested.

I am doing the design.
I am not doing the design pattern.
I hired Holland to do the entire software foundation since he has much greater experience in web artistry than I or Sterling put together.
All I'm going to be doing code wise is aesthetics and writing plugins.
Stop making yourself look like a fool.
Or don't, I don't care.

| He's referring to the fact that a design pattern is a solution to a common problem in software development. There is no grand design pattern that can be referred to as 'the' design pattern, as you have a multitude of them.
