i just bought the new windows vista today as a laptop with wireless internet i also bought a router but for some reason i cant get on my WLAN it says i need a password can someone tell me what i have to do on thatthe computer that has the router pluged into it? like a option in control pannel or something?

It is not an option in the cp i think, You need to configure your router with a wep addy.

Then setup the laptop to connect to it.

try the administrator password of your windows install

Edit: F**k what I just said go to 192.168.1.1 then put your administrator username and password for the router found in your manual and then edit your router settings ingnore what i said before.

Leave it open so us PSP users can go off your interweb and steel your IPS, unprotected router st34ling is our playground n WIEFIE IS OUR BITCH! Very Happy

Definately make sure its secured so you don't get your internet speed taken up by people next door who are cheap and don't want to pay for their internet, and people who are near by with PSPs, er w/e.
