I made a background in photoshop using c4d renders someone else made. I'm wondering if it's okay to use my watermark on it.

if they are royalty free, you can use them as you please, no need for credits. If they are commercial use accepted with accreditation then you need to mention the other artist but still can use it.

on the above you can yeah indeed watermark the background you made.
