There's no reason for life per se. The goal for most living organisms is to pass on genes. Basically our lives are about;
eating
drinking
pissing
shitting
reproducing
and finally dying.

Anything in between that is something we decide for ourselves, heck, if we want to we can even choose to not do some of those things.
You wrote a book? Cool. Chose to do that yourself, not something you had to do.
You made a game? Cool. Also chose to do that yourself, not something you had to do.
You lived your whole life without accomplishing anything? Cool. You didn't have to anyways.
