to be in the Avengers movie. Then I discovered the Avengers is coming out like next weekend and Spider Man will come out about 2 months later.
I don't know much about the Avengers, but in the Venom comics and Carnage comics I've read, Spider Man is in the Avengers...
Maybe they're saving him for a sequel or something.

Seems like the Avengers change a lot.
In the Carnage USA comics Spider Man, The Thing, and Wolverine are in the Avengers.
In the Venom Comics there's Red Hulk and stuff.

and fucking captain america
The avengers quickly began turning to shit once everyone except captain america left.
Basically the avengers spent a whopping 16 issues being awesome and then were uninteresting.

The story actually has some tip-offs to the first Avengers comic. It starts with Thor as Dr Don Blake doing the doctor act. Loki's eyes survey him then flick to the Hulk. Loki creates an illusion of dynamite on train tracks and the Hulk tries to muffle it, successfully destroying the track. Anyway, there's a radio broadcast where Thor, Antman, the Wasp and Iron Man unite to stop the Hulk. They figure out that it was actually Loki, they unite and beat him. A very abridged version but that's pretty much it.
Anyway, the Avengers, like most of the comic book teams have changed enormously over the years. Just to detail some of the changes off the top of my head
+Thor
+Giant/Ant Man
+The Wasp
+Iron Man
+Hulk
-Hulk
+Captain America
+Wonder Man
-Wonder Man
+Hawkeye
+Quicksilver
+Scarlet Witch
etc.
But then you get offshoots, West Side Avengers or whatever. Loads of world-shaking Marvel events as well. Best to just leave it.

Only Avengers I pay attention to are the ones with Venom. He makes a good teammate.

| He was first introduced in the Fantastic Four. Don't forget that these comics have been going for decades. You get some pretty outdated names that carry-on. Look him up if you're interested.

Then nope. I think I only have 1 or 2 of the old comics (though I've browsed through a few others at the shop). I'm on the 14th comic or so on the newer Venom series, with Flash Thompson as Venom. And I'm on the 5th comic or so of another newer Venom series, where the symbiote escapes from some arctic research facility. Finished the Sinister Spider Man series, still have 2 more to go on the Dark Origin series.
And I don't read the Avengers, they're just sometimes involved in the other comics I read.
Like Carnage USA, best god damn beginning. Carnage takes over every Avenger except Spider Man.

| I shall read this comic. I mostly download them. I have a large collection of older comics but it's so much easier to download and go through entire series. Did that with Deadpool. He is my all time favourite, hands down.
