Hey guys, it's been a quite a while :]

I was hoping I could ask you guys for the name of this game... I remember loving it as a kid, but it's a complete blur to me now. I know some of you are superior when it comes to this stuff, so I thought it'd be worth a shot.

Here the details that I can remember:

- It's a 2D, RPG computer game
- Single-player, doesn't go online
- You choose between using a Warrior with an axe or a Mage that shoots out bright blue balls horizontally
- There's sometimes a ghost that flys around the map. If it touches you, numbers fly out of you rapidly (sort of like damage indicators), and the numbers tell you the amount of money that was stolen from you
- nothing can be done about the ghosts, they can't be shooed away unless you travel to another "grid" on the map that's displayed at the corner of your screen
- The shop only opens at certain times. The shop has a shield/wheel door that rolls over when it's open, unveiling a shop
- the items for sale in the shop depend on whether you chose to be a Warrior or a Mage
- inside the shop, there is also a room to gamble your money (on slots? or something)
- The game was released before 2005

Sorry if I'm still being too vague. Just throw out the name of a few games that sound like a possibility and I'll check on google to see if it is.

Yeah, I tried asking on 4chan a while back too and the details I provided didn't seem to be as clear as I had hoped...

But I checked Ghosts & Goblins, doesn't seem to be it... thanks though.

It was a PC game actually. I don't think it ever ported to a console though.

Unfortunately, nope, can't remember the logos. But I played it on my own PC, my uncle installed it for me, along with a few other games, but this is the one that stands out. I asked him too, he said it was too long ago for him to remember.

It's sort of like MS, such that it's 2D and allows you to move all over the map. Except there aren't those portals, you just keep going to the very left/right side of the screen, and once you hit it, the screen changes to display that new section you've just entered.

You can also move up + down maps by jumping on those ledges.
