Hello all, in the past I've used Media monkey as my primary audio file player. But I'm looking to see what else is out there. Any suggestions?

it really depends how you define "Best"

for a wide range of filetype support, I'd go with Winamp

for reliability, Windows Media Player

By best I mean which one gives the best sound quality? Or are they all pretty much the same?

I use QQplayer.It's free and support All kinds of Videos.such as Flash,RM,MPEG,AVI,WMV,DVD,and so on. It also can transfer video from PC to iPad. But it's menu is Chinese. you can download it from here:

All about preference and/or media player.

I used iTunes when I had an iPod. Now I use zune with my phone. I prefer zune of the two.

I personally like Foobar.

Open source, slim, extremely configurable, and none of the bullshit you get with all the other players. (Rootkits, adware, ads, etc.)

Also I don't think any players will degrade the sound quality, it's relative to the file itself.
