it looks nice but for terrain modeling with a terrain modeling software it is waaaay to simple to start commenting .
usually what is praised in terrain modeling is path distribution and good variety in terrain elevation, also inclusion of vegetation.
here I see good height distribution and a nice detail of leaving a lake in the middle.

Art section isn't dead you just need to do more computer art related things. I am really good at gimp and photo-shop, i can make comic book looking style drawing if some one hands them to me and i can edit them too look like that. But how the hell did you do that any ways O.o did you make a 3d model then put texture on it, then added in water by the look of the render your using a very high end program.

you paint a bitmap or on top of a plane, depends of the software.
what you paint is a displacement map with some custom brushes to make terrain elevations.

Yes first you randomly generate a height map, which is a 2d cloudy looking picture, and change it around till you like it, and that gives you the model for the terrain.
I don't have a texture on it, it's just one color + global lighting.
As for the water all I did was set the global level, not that hard, gotta look into effects for it though like waves, and maybe animate it.

Oh i thought you where using one of those high end modeling programs that are used for video game engines that cost like $1000 or more.
