Site: http://www.ai-class.com
Enrollment Link: http://www.ai-class.com/registration/
Reddit Forum: http://www.reddit.com/r/aiclass
Prerequisites: Linear Algebra (Matrices/Vectors) and Probability

IRC: irc.caelestia.net #ai

Sign up for the advanced course (includes homework and tests) and lets start a study group (forum, IRC, MSN, whatever).

What it is: AI class offered by Stanford with the Peter Norvig, author of Artificial Intelligence: Modern Approach (Pretty important guy, unscared of anything). A chance to get a free Stanford experience of sorts.

NOTICE: Exams may take up to four hours, thus, you must have time available to do them. If you do not have time to commit to exams and homework, you can drop down to basic course level at any time, where theres neither (you pretty much just sit in).

Wrai? Because we are a genetically superior race, plus its fun to help each other out with material and compare results.

A-Team:
  • Rollik
  • Aviar - Advanced Track
  • Kazekiel - Advanced Track
  • Josheh

Correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't read the Introductory, just part of the first paragraph about this assessment. Basically, from Standford, these guys are doing some little experiment and we're helping them?

Its a class taught by two AI greats, the project leader for the google car project, and the author of AI: Modern Approach (has held posts in NASA and Sun, now works with google). Its meant to be like an actual class, with them uploading lectures and assigning homework, quizzes and tests. This is a sort of test, in the sense that the company which is providing the service Know it!, is using this as a sort of trial run for future paid services.

Oh, I also signed up for their machine learning course:

http://www.ml-class.org

It later in the year, and pretty much has the same prerequisites as the AI class, plus, after completing the AI class, this should pretty much be applying knowledge and exploring a few new concepts.

I've just read it, and you're right.

You find interesting stuff that catches my mind.

What's awesome is that the ML site already has some videos uploaded (Linear Algebra and Linear Regression). So its a nice taste of what to expect.

The videos give you a sensation of you wanting the class early haha. I suppose one could use this to advantage!
