In order to play a playstation 2 game on pc i use an emulator call "pcsx ". Then i realize that game was hard and i use cheat engine to hack it. I thought it was so easy that i found the address that contain value of the money in the game but when i try to change it i realize it can't be change ! I do it several time and it still the same result. Can anyone tell me why i can't change the vale of the address. Thank you very much.

try different value types. Could be you only found a temporary value.
Also, go to settings and tick the option to also scan mem_mapped memory

| Emulators like pcsx2 have built-in memory scanners that are better suited and usually automatic, maybe look into that.

You could have to backtrace through disassembly until you find the base variable; that is, if you found the right one. Other than that, always search for Unknown Variable. Nowadays, video games carry values that don't make sense but works good.
For Cryoma's method, PCSX2 should have a Cheat Manager thing for you to play with. If not, should ask for it at PCSX2 forums.

Same method for pcsx2 that I use for pSX. There is a pointer in pcsx2 (at least in the last SVN revisions I've been using over this year) that points to where the PS2's main RAM begins. Add the address its pointing to as the beginning of the search memory and ending address as +0x02000000 from where it began and you'll be able to directly search the PS2's ram.
I usually just look at pcsx2's source code to find the pointer through every new revision.
