A man hiring a hitman for example, both would be as guilty as each other. But technically, the man did not kill anyone. That goes for here as well. Hitler and Osama, to the best of my knowledge, never killed a person with their own hands(If you don't count suicide in Hitler's case)

Sure but that's all semantics.
If going strictly by "what would this be like if it were in a game" logic (which was used to form the original joke in the first place), telling someone to go kill someone else in the game doesn't award you a kill.
For example, Obama didn't kill Osama.
Also, would Obama be a murderer in that case?
