It should. If all else fails just run in compatibility mode.

I have also been able to get games that are not supposed to run under Win7 to run.

Soldier Of Fortune Gold is not supposed to run under Win 7 not even with compat mode.

If you go into your sof folder and copy the exe to another folder and rename it mohaa.exe then place it back into the game folder and create a shortcut to the mohaa.exe, SOF will run on Win7. If Homeworld2 doesn't run you could try this method.
