now itunes doesn't work (only reason I use itunes is so I can put music onto my ipod. fuck why doesn't apple make the ipod like a flash drive?)

Anything else I can use to transfer music? sharepod doesnt work (my ipod is ios4 gen3 jailbroken)

Download iPhpod; It goes on your iPod, and you can download songs on your iPod and use iPHPod as a media player. It also works like Xampp, so if you portforward you can host HTML/php websites.

There's a lot of iTunes alternatives... Only other one I've ever used though was Sharepod.

But then I got a Zune, and realized the Zune software was amazing. Shame they stopped releasing new models, I'd like to see some sort of improvements.
