Is "either" pronounced as "eye-ther" or "eether"?

some people do it the first way, some the second

it's like some people pronouncing almond as all-mand and some people pronouncing it all-mund

I use ee-ther when I say it in the middle of a sentence.
"He had to choose either one or the other".

Comparatively, I use eye-ther when I start a sentence with it.
"Either this or that".

Me too; I actually had to THINK about it before writing it and vocalize it a few times before I knew exactly what I do.
